About Moscow Foodies
Moscow Foodies is a new, independently operated informational publication about food culture, traditional dishes, menu vocabulary and kitchen habits associated with Moscow and the wider regional traditions reflected in its food. It is not a restaurant review service, a guide to current venues or an invitation to travel. Our guides explain common patterns without claiming that every household, cook or menu follows them. Foods cross borders; a dish being familiar in Moscow does not make it exclusively Russian. We do not claim personal visits, professional culinary credentials or first-hand testing. This is introductory editorial material, not individualized dietary or food-safety advice. Ingredient names and traditions vary, so ask the actual preparer about ingredients when that matters.

How to use these guides
Our articles are evergreen introductions organized around useful distinctions and practical questions. They are not live data feeds. When a decision depends on current information, a specific product, a property or an individual need, verify it with the responsible provider or appropriate official source. We do not present hypothetical examples as personal experience.
What you will not find here
No fabricated reviews, current restaurant recommendations, paid reservations or claims of culinary testing. Cultural descriptions are qualified where practices vary, and food-safety decisions require more than general cultural context.
